Arianna Shekhani
Hi there, I’m Arianna (she/her)!
I am a senior pursuing a BFA in Communication Design with minors in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Art History at Washington University in St. Louis, in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
I’m fascinated by the intersection of research and design. A large part of my process involves diving into rabbit holes and uncovering insights and niches that inform the visual storytelling arc each project takes. I am interested in branding systems, research, typography, and art direction.
When I’m not working in an InDesign file, you can find me taking long walks in the park, obsessing over sunsets, and experimenting with nail art!

DESCRIPTION
During my time as a Design Intern for the Arts, Design & Media Career Community on campus, I have been developing visual branding and promotional materials that supported a wide range of student-centered events and initiatives. My work includes creating posters, social media assets, presentation graphics, design for screen, and other print collateral that communicate key information clearly and compellingly. I collaborate closely with staff to understand event goals and audience needs, then translate those insights into cohesive visual systems that aligned with the Career Center’s identity. Through iterative design and weekly feedback sessions, I help strengthen outreach efforts and increase student engagement across programs. This role has deepened my understanding of how thoughtful visual communication can shape community connection and make opportunities feel more inviting and actionable.
